The Eagles acquired wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks from the Green Bay Packers for a 2026 fifth-round pick (originally owned by Atlanta) and a 2027 sixth-round pick. Philadelphia then signed him to a one-year, $12.5 million extension with $9 million fully guaranteed.

The Numbers

Wicks played in 46 games with 18 starts over three seasons, recording:

  • 108 receptions
  • 1,328 yards (12.3 yards per catch)
  • 11 touchdowns

In 2025, he caught 30 passes for 332 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games while competing for targets in a crowded Green Bay receiver room.

Why This Trade Makes Sense

Built-In Chemistry: Offensive Coordinator Sean Mannion and Run Game Coordinator Ryan Mahaffey both coached Wicks in Green Bay. Mahaffey was specifically his position coach for the past two seasons.

System Familiarity: Wicks already knows the West Coast-style offense Mannion is installing. There's no learning curve, he can contribute immediately.

A.J. Brown Insurance: With Brown expected to be traded after June 1, Wicks provides proven depth behind DeVonta Smith, Hollywood Brown, and Makai Lemon.

Contract Details

Wicks received a $5.855 million signing bonus. His entire 2026 salary is fully guaranteed, as is $2 million of his 2027 salary.

For two late-round picks, the Eagles added a receiver who knows the system and has upside to be a significant contributor in 2026.
