The 2026 NFL Draft is in the books, and the Eagles came away looking like winners. Most power rankings agree-Philadelphia lands at #5 overall.
What They're Saying
GM Howie Roseman once again proved why he's one of the best in the business. In moving up for receiver Makai Lemon and trading for edge rusher Jonathan Greenard-along with WR Dontayvion Wicks earlier in the month-the Eagles definitely improved the roster.
One analyst put it simply: "They are so back."
The Draft Haul
- Round 1: WR Makai Lemon (traded up with Dallas)
- Round 2: TE Eli Stowers
- Round 3: OT Markel Bell (6'9, 346 lbs)
- Trade: EDGE Jonathan Greenard ($98M extension)
Throw in the late-round picks and UDFAs, and it was a productive weekend.
The Skeptics
Not everyone is sold. Some outlets have the Eagles outside the top 10, with teams like the Lions and Jaguars ranked ahead.
The concern? "Philly is going to continue to be a limited team unless the offense can be perfectly crafted for Jalen Hurts. With Sean Mannion as the new offensive coordinator, he'll have one of the biggest lifts in the NFL this year."
The Defense Carries Confidence
Even if the offense still concerns people, the defense should give fans confidence. The Eagles have two All-Pros in Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, Greenard rushing off the edge, and Zack Baun controlling the middle.
The foundation is there. Now it's about execution.
