Mark your calendars and prepare the turkey, the Eagles are heading to Dallas for Thanksgiving.

For the first time since 2014, Philadelphia will face the Cowboys on Turkey Day, bringing one of the NFL's fiercest rivalries to the national stage on America's favorite football holiday.

Eagles Own Thanksgiving vs. Dallas

The Eagles have dominated the Cowboys in their Thanksgiving Day meetings:

  • 2014: Eagles 33, Cowboys 10
  • 1989: Eagles 27, Cowboys 0

That's right, Philadelphia is 2-0 against Dallas on Thanksgiving, outscoring the Cowboys 60-10 combined.

The 2014 Beatdown

The last time these teams met on Turkey Day, Mark Sanchez led the Eagles to a dominant 33-10 victory at AT&T Stadium. LeSean McCoy rushed for 159 yards, and the Eagles defense held Tony Romo and company to just 10 points.

It was a statement win that helped propel Philadelphia to a 10-6 record that season.

The 1989 Shutout

The Eagles' first Thanksgiving meeting with Dallas was even more decisive. Randall Cunningham and the gang blanked the Cowboys 27-0, a reminder of Philadelphia's dominance during that era.

2026 Expectations

With the Eagles coming off a Super Bowl championship and the Cowboys looking to rebound from a disappointing 2025, this Thanksgiving matchup has all the makings of a classic.

The Eagles are 2-0 on Thanksgiving against Dallas. Time to make it 3-0.
