The Eagles have made their first roster move following rookie minicamp.
According to the NFL's transaction wire, Philadelphia signed Idaho linebacker Isiah King and waived Washington State defensive back Tucker Large with a non-football injury designation.
Isiah King Earns His Shot
King (6-2, 224) began his college career at Idaho as a defensive back before transitioning to linebacker in his second season. He became a full-time starter in 2025, recording 79 tackles, 7 TFLs, 3 sacks, and a forced fumble.
Originally announced as an undrafted free agent signing, King actually attended rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. He clearly did enough over the weekend to convince the Eagles to give him a contract.
King is a long shot to make the 53-man roster, but he'll have a chance to compete for a practice squad spot.
Tucker Large Waived with Injury
Large was the only player at rookie minicamp not practicing when reporters were present at the Jefferson Health Training Complex last Friday. He suffered a knee injury in Washington State's bowl game-any injury that occurs before a player enters the NFL receives the non-football injury designation.
The Eagles signed Large as an undrafted rookie following the draft, but as the 57th-ranked safety prospect by Dane Brugler, he was always a long shot to stick around.
Roster Implications
The move keeps the Eagles at their current roster limit while adding depth at linebacker-a position group that could use competition behind starters Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean.
