The Philadelphia Eagles have promoted Adam Berry to assistant general manager, the team announced Wednesday. Berry replaces Alec Halaby, who departed after five years as assistant GM and 17 years with the organization.

From Wall Street to the War Room

Berry's rise through the Eagles organization has been remarkably swift. He joined Philadelphia in 2023 as director of football operations and strategy after spending 14 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as managing director and head of U.S. loan trading.

In just three years, Berry has climbed from director to VP of football operations and strategy (2024) to assistant GM (2026). His responsibilities encompass pro and college player evaluations, salary cap management, contract negotiations, and analytics integration into roster decisions.

A Family of Football Minds

Berry is the twin brother of Cleveland Browns General Manager Andrew Berry, who previously worked with the Eagles in 2019 as VP of football operations before joining Cleveland in 2020. The twins both played college football-Adam as a receiver at Princeton, where he was a team captain and graduated cum laude with an economics degree.

Howie's New Brain Trust

The Eagles' assistant GMs under Howie Roseman are now Berry and Jon Ferrari, who recently had his contract extended. Earlier this offseason, the team also extended chief security officer and senior adviser Dom DiSandro.

The promotions come after a busy offseason that saw the Eagles lose senior executives Alec Halaby and Bryce Johnston (to the Atlanta Falcons). Despite the departures, Roseman continues building a front office pipeline that mirrors his own rise through the organization.
