The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Houston Texans on Christmas Eve in what will be the NFL's only game on December 24, according to schedule leaks.
The Thursday night primetime matchup is set for 8:15 PM ET on Amazon Prime Video, giving Eagles fans a holiday treat at Lincoln Financial Field.
Holiday Spotlight
This marks a significant scheduling honor for Philadelphia, as the league chose the Eagles to headline the Christmas Eve slot. The Texans, led by second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud, have emerged as one of the AFC's rising powers and will provide a compelling cross-conference matchup.
The NFL is clearly leaning into the holiday timing, and as multiple outlets have noted, there is a "100% chance that half the media will spend the entire lead up to the game talking about the time that Eagles fans booed Santa Claus."
Two Holiday Games for Philadelphia
The Christmas Eve game complements the Eagles' Thanksgiving appearance at Dallas, giving Philadelphia two holiday games this season:
- Thanksgiving (Week 12): Eagles at Cowboys - 4:30 PM ET on Fox
- Christmas Eve: Texans at Eagles - 8:15 PM ET on Amazon
