The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting free agent defensive back Nazeeh Johnson on a visit at the Jefferson Health Training Complex, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Who is Nazeeh Johnson?

Johnson, 27, was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round (No. 259 overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft - just three spots ahead of Brock Purdy.

He has made eight starts across 35 career games (including playoffs), logging 494 defensive snaps in 2024 and 286 special teams snaps throughout his career.

Injury History

Johnson's career has been interrupted by significant injuries. He missed the entire 2023 season due to a torn ACL and most of 2025 because of a shoulder injury.

Position Versatility

Johnson's primary NFL experience comes as an outside cornerback, though his college career at Marshall involved splitting time between safety and slot corner positions. That versatility makes him an interesting fit for Vic Fangio's defense.

The Fit in Philadelphia

If signed, Johnson would compete for a 53-man roster spot while providing depth in the secondary and contributing on special teams coverage units.

With Riq Woolen and Quinyon Mitchell locked in as the starting corners, the Eagles are looking for insurance behind them - exactly the role Johnson could fill.
