The Philadelphia Eagles are going back to London. The Eagles will face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a Week 5 road matchup on Sunday, October 12, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 PM Eastern, with the game broadcast on NFL Network.

The Eagles in London

This will be the Eagles' second appearance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and their second London game overall. Philadelphia is undefeated in NFL international play heading into the 2026 trip:

  • 2018 at Wembley Stadium: Eagles defeated the Jaguars 24-18
  • 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil: Eagles defeated the Packers 34-29

That history matters. International games are notorious for producing unexpected outcomes (jet lag, unfamiliar field surfaces, time-zone disruption), and the Eagles have navigated them better than most teams. The 2018 Jaguars game was won with disciplined defense and a balanced offensive attack. The 2024 Packers game was won on the road in a hostile international crowd. The pattern is clear: the Eagles travel well.

A Familiar Opponent

The Eagles have dominated their head-to-head series against the Jaguars over the past decade and a half, winning five consecutive matchups. Jacksonville is a young team in transition, working through a new coaching staff and a rebuilding roster. On paper, the Jaguars are not the kind of opponent that should keep Philadelphia awake at night, regardless of where the game is played.

But this is an NFL season. There is no easy game in October. Add in the international travel, the unfamiliar venue, and the early kickoff time relative to standard NFL Sunday windows, and the Jaguars get every variable they need to make this a coin flip.

The Good News: No Lost Home Game

The Eagles are NOT losing a home game for this matchup. The London game counts as a Jacksonville home game, which means the Eagles still play nine home games at Lincoln Financial Field in 2026. That preservation of the home schedule matters for revenue, for fan experience, and for the home-field advantage that has been part of the Eagles' competitive identity for decades.

The Brutal Stretch That Follows

Here is the catch: there is no bye week immediately after the London trip. The Eagles drew one of the most physically taxing scheduling assignments in the NFL: a transatlantic game with no recovery week. Most international teams get a bye the following week. Philadelphia gets none.

The post-London stretch:

  • Week 6 (Oct 19): vs. Carolina Panthers
  • Week 7 (Oct 27): vs. Dallas Cowboys, Monday Night Football
  • Week 8 (Nov 2): at Washington Commanders, Sunday Night Football
  • Week 9 (Nov 9): vs. New York Giants

Three straight division games (Cowboys, Commanders, Giants) plus two primetime appearances, all coming off the jet-lagged London trip. The Eagles do not see their bye until Week 10 on November 16.

What to Watch

Three things will tell us how the trip is going for the Eagles in real time:

  1. Saquon Barkley snap count. If Sirianni is conserving Saquon for the post-London stretch, he limits his snaps in Jacksonville.
  2. Hurts efficiency. Quarterbacks famously struggle in their first overseas game. Hurts is in his second international appearance, which should help.
  3. Defensive disguise. Vic Fangio's defense is hardest to prepare for when it uses pre-snap movement. International opponents often have less film access and shorter preparation cycles.

The Bottom Line

The Eagles get the kind of opponent they should beat in the kind of environment that produces wild outcomes. A win sets up the brutal post-London stretch on solid footing. A loss compounds the schedule disadvantage and puts pressure on the Cowboys MNF game in Week 7.

October 12. Tottenham. 2:30 PM ET. The Eagles' 2026 international tour kicks off there.
