The Philadelphia Eagles could be heading overseas in 2026.

With the NFL announcing remaining international games on Wednesday, May 13, the Eagles are in play for either a London or Mexico City matchup.

The key detail: Philadelphia won't be giving up a home game. Any international contest would be on the road.

London Possibilities

Three International Series games are set for London this season:

  • Jacksonville Jaguars: Hosting two games - one at Wembley Stadium, one at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
  • Washington Commanders: Hosting one game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The Eagles play both the Jaguars and Commanders on the road in 2026, making either a potential London matchup.

Mexico City Possibility

The 49ers are the home team for the game at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, and the Eagles are scheduled for a road game against San Francisco.

Eagles vs. 49ers in Mexico City would be a massive draw - two NFC powerhouses in a historic venue. Given the proximity and the opponent quality, Mexico City may be the more likely destination.

Historical Context

Philadelphia has only played two international games in franchise history - tied for second-fewest in the NFL. The league has been pushing to give more teams international exposure, which could work in favor of sending the Eagles abroad.

In 2024, the Eagles hosted the Packers in São Paulo, Brazil. They won't be giving up a home game this year, but could still participate as the visiting team.
